| Model 10CTJB-8 Thermocouple Junction Box |
The
Model 10CTJB-8 may be used with a single Model 4010
Four-Channel Thermocouple Instrument to move the temperature-compensated
reference junction to the actual ("remote") site of the thermocouple
sensors, in environments with an ambient temperature between 0° F and +140°
F.
Although the 10CTJB-8 is an eight-channel box, a given 10CTJB-8 can be dedicated to only one 4010 instrument. Model 10CTJB-8 dimensions (HWD in inches/cm) are 1.14/2.90, 9.05/22.99, 3.25/8.26.
TC leads connect directly to the 10CTJB-8's internal screw terminals, in any desired type mixture. The Junction Box then sends their signals to the 4010 via copper conductors (only).
You
must furnish your own pin-to-pin cable for connecting the 10CTJB-8 to the
4010's rear Analog Input Connector. Daytronic will supply appropriate
screw-terminal connectors for this cable. The cable should be shielded,
and should consist of stranded copper wires. While no maximum cable length
is actually specified, the wire size and length combination should
be such that the total per-wire resistance does not exceed 25 ohms.
