Featuring a 1.000000-MHz crystal frequency reference, this card may be made to function in any of the four modes of operation described below, by entering an appropriate TYPE (TYP) command.

FREQUENCY MEASUREMENT

The Model 10ACT01 counts events per unit time (EPUT), and may thus be used for frequency or rpm measurement.  The full-scale range (with corresponding resolution) and the specific time base during which "events" (pulses) are to be counted.

The Model 5M40 DIN conditioner is used with conventional frequency-generating transducers, such as tachometer pickups, turbine flow meters, transistor or logic-circuit drivers, and “zero velocity” (true digital output) sensors. The 5M40 will accept sine, square and irregular waveform inputs, plus TTL. The 5M40 delivers filtered analog output of 5 Vdc, 10 Vdc or 4-20mA, selectable. The Models 5D40 and 5D40V are wide-range general-purpose instruments for conditioning the signal received from a Magnetic Pickup, quadrature sensor, Hall-Effect device, photocell, TTL sensor signal, or other external AC voltage or pulse train source.

The 5D40 delivers filtered analog output of ±5 VDC, while the 5D40V produces ±10 VDC.
