Any 4000 instrument with the "N" Option (including all 4K/SPC instruments) can represent one of up to 99 independent "nodes" of a high-speed multidrop network. For an "N Option" instrument, the 9-pin computer interface port can operate in either "single-node" (RS232) or "multinode" (RS485 Network) mode, depending on the "node number" assigned to the instrument. The Model 4K/NU RS485 Network Upgrade is available for any basic model (other than a 4010, 4040, 4078, 4K/HP, or "4K/SPC") produced after January 1, 1991. Contact the factory for details. |
